I am Father BAGERAGEZA Jean François Régis, the Parish Priest of BUSENGO PARISH.
Busengo is geographically situated in Rwanda, Northen Province, Gakenke District, Busengo Sector. Is newly founded in the 15 January 2022, by His Lordship Vincent HAROLIMANA, bishop Ruhengeri Diocese.
Our pastoral zone count around 30.000 people and 97% live from agriculture. The Busengo Parish count 15.000 people and we have 7 schools. In our pastoral mission we focus on education, family care (especially women empowerment and children) as the vulnerable members in the society.
We are challenged with tree major issues:
- The dramatic situation of poor single mothers, poor families and children who easy drop out of school for lack of means.
- Lack of basic infrastructures such as training center or rooms for training of fundamental skills reserved to the beneficiaries.
- Huge number of student who hardly attend school and finish the secondary school.
We call up to all person of good will to come up to our beloved brothers and sisters in needs.
And we humbly address our sincere gratitude and blessings to our advocates and mentors and, most notably, to His Lordship Mgr Vincent HAROLIMANA, to the SPOT project team, and to other friends and partners of Busengo parish who care a lot about the welfare of our people.
